Gold Coast Beach 5s Spring Festival
The picturesque Greenmount Beach on the Gold Coast will play host to Australia's 7th Gold Coast Beach 5s Spring Festival from November 3 to 5. Beach 5s is a 5-a-side sand-based competition based on modified Rugby Union, Rugby League, and Touch Football rules, with no line-outs, scrums, or conversions.
The Gold Coast event is open to everyone! You can join a Premier 5s team, a social squad, or attend the game and cheer from the sidelines! Viewers are welcome without charge. It suits all age groups, from U12 Juniors to Men's and Women's. A Premier Elite 5s Open Men, Women, and Men Social and a Sunset Afterparty will be on Saturday. The youth and school of Beach 5 meet on Sunday.
Gold Coast Beach Oztag
The NRL and Australian Oztag will hold the first-ever Gold Coast Beach Oztag competition in Queensland at one of the state's most recognisable beaches, Greenmount Beach in Coolangatta. Beach Oztag is an exhilarating, fast-paced, and dynamic game where players compete on a specially designed Oztag field (50m x 30m) on the sand. November 25 and 26 are Gold Coast Beach Oztag days.
Senior and Junior divisions will be available throughout the event, with Seniors playing games on Saturday and Juniors on Sunday. Food trucks, pubs, live music, and merchants should create a fun, energetic weekend for players and viewers.
