Dining in the Southern Gold Coast suburbs is modern and international with cuisine from all over the world to sample at the local cafes, bistros and fine dining restaurants.

For great shopping, head to the Pines Shopping Centre in Elanora, explore the stylish boutiques and cafes of the James Street precinct in Burleigh Heads or take the short drive into Broadbeach to explore Pacific Fair.

Southern Gold Coast Beaches

Beach lovers can take their pick from eight iconic beaches on the Southern Gold Coast, each long, white and beautiful with unspoilt sand and surf. Talking of surf, the breaks here are world class, with favourable conditions at Snapper Rocks, Duranbah, Kirra and ‘the alley’ at Currumbin drawing in thousands of surf enthusiasts each year.

If surfing is not your thing, you are sure to appreciate a picnic on the wide, soft expanse of sand at Palm Beach or the excellent paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing opportunities at Currumbin.

Theme Parks and Family Attractions

The Gold Coast’s theme parks have become some of the region’s biggest draw-cards. The famous ‘Big 3’ are Movie World, Dream World and marine park Sea World, which are home to some of the biggest and best thrill rides in the country and are located just 30 minutes from our Burleigh Heads resort. With countless slides, water rides and themed pools, Wet ‘n’ Wild Water World offers a unique way to cool down on a hot summer’s day, while Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is sure to delight animal lovers of all ages.
